Explore the joys and therapeutic benefits of dance, music and the creative spirit!

Tuesdays 1-3pm | £5 per class

Beacon Arts Centre is delighted to be hosting a weekly classes designed especially for people living with Parkinson’s, their families and carers. This class is accompanied by a live pianist and takes place in our tranquil gallery suite overlooking the Clyde. The session is followed by a social cafe where we all kick back and enjoy a cuppa and a blether.

This is a drop-in class and can be paid for on the day at Box Office.

These classes are suitable for people with no dance experience and will develop confidence and creativity, whilst addressing Parkinsons' specific concerns. Dancing to music focusing on balance, rhythm, control and sequencing call alleviate some of the symptoms of PD and give a feeling of physical freedom. Each week we have two experienced dance intructors and volunteers at hand to help anyone who needs extra support with mobility.
