Giant Greedyguts has come!

Up his castle in the clouds, Giant Greedyguts plans to destroy the pantomime kingdom of Inverstrone if Dame Trot doesn’t give him her precious cow, Moomoo, for his lunch. This is just the adventure that Dame Trot’s daredevil daughter, Jack, has been waiting for. She swears to find a way up to Cloudland to defeat the Giant and save Inverstrone. But how? Did somebody say “Magic Beans?”

Join Jack and all your favourite Beacon panto regulars as they climb the magic beanstalk to take on not only the Giant, but the evil sorceress, Voldemorra, and her hapless henchman, Snotbag as they try to rescue Moomoo the Coocoo. And all is not as it seems! In a rollercoaster ride of thrills, spills, song, dance and comic mayhem, there are endless twists and turns in store to keep you on the edge of your seats as you cheer the goodies and boo the baddies!

“It is that intoxicating mix of love and laughter, good versus evil, forgiveness and repentance that ensures the Beacon Arts Centre’s reworking of Beauty And The Beast is a magical night of theatre.”

Liam Rudden on Beauty and the Beast, 2023

"Now in its second year of in-house production, this pantomime will bring a smile to every face and leave you with a festive glow to last all season. Greenock's panto never fails to entertain - and this year's offering is a real gem."

Braw Theatre on Beauty and the Beast, 2023

"A tale of old, one the cornerstone fairytales of Panto's heart, it's an anniversary year for the Beacon. Beauty and the Beast marks the venue's tenth annual pantomime and the second year where the production is crafted in-house, written by Alan McHugh and directed by Beth Morton. A testament to the brilliance of in-house showcases, Beauty and the Beast reigns strong as a tale as old as time; a classic pantomime with a vibrancy and stellar cast that enchant, entertain, and split side with traditional panto banter."

Corr Blimey on Beauty and the Beast, 2023
