Inverclyde Women Create! is a weekly programme of participant-led arts for women of Inverclyde from diverse backgrounds and languages. Whether it be drawing, painting, textiles or crochet this group encourages participants to develop and share their creative interests, boosting a sense of personal power and creating a playful learning environment. The aim of this group is to nurture an inclusive and fun atmosphere that promotes confidence, stimulates creativity and enhances well-being. We believe every person is a wellspring of creativity, and this is the place to let it flow!
On display 11 - 25 October
Inverclyde Women Create is a joint venture between The Beacon Arts Centre and Your Voice New Scots project. Local women and New Scots women have collaborated in a creative visual response to what it means to them as individuals and collectively to be (un)seen and seen as In/Visible.
Previous exhibition, 2023.
Inverclyde Women Create! was created through the generous support of the Weston Culture Fund and delivered in partnership with Your Voice and HSCP Inverclyde. The programme is able to continue due to a generous legacy donation from Mrs Annette Mary Johnson.
