The Foyle Foundation funded Community Outreach Coordinator post has enabled the Beacon to engage with secondary schools, our local ASN school and numerous third sector organisations across Inverclyde.

A highlight of this work was our Creative Minds Community Arts Festival in May 2023. Following a consultation process to determine which artform each group would like to work in we carefully matched the groups with artists. The venue was an open space during the festival with community groups hosting workshops, plays, exhibitions, talks, events and more. All these activities were free and open to everyone.

Groups involved included:

Inverclyde Faith in Throughcare - I FiT – Inverclyde Faith in Throughcare (wordpress.com)

Inverclyde Women Create - Beacon Arts - Inverclyde Women Create! (beaconartscentre.co.uk)

Clyde Pride - Clyde Pride | LGBT Youth Scotland | LGBT Youth Scotland
