A retrospective exhibition of the work of Port Glasgow-born electronic music pioneers Thomas Leer and the late Robert Rental, two of Scotland’s finest, but perhaps less well-known, musicians brought to Beacon Arts Centre by Simon Dell.

Thomas and Robert’s ground-breaking music and approach helped create the template for an explosion of the independent post-punk releases and synth-pop boom in the early 1980’s.

Special evening of electronic music on 12th October (DJ JD Twitch, Security, hausfrau & DJ Loraine Williams.)

Inverlcyde photographer, Louie Pastore, takes us on a photographic journey around the last remaining shipyard on the Lower Clyde, Ferguson Shipyard, documenting the old buildings before they were demolished too. The images inspired him to recreate a new series of photographs based on stories he heard from former shipyard workers,

I Welcome: An Amnesty International and Magnum Photos Exhibition

This photographic exhibition features refugee crises past & present, bringing together 70 years of Magum Photos and Amnesty International’s work.

Putting a human face to the statistics and news stories, the photographs illustrate the reasons many are forced to flee, the journeys they face and for some, the end point of safety; for some this is the west of Scotland.

WS Graham Centenary Exhibition

Work by the NIghtfishers. This exhibition will highlight the work produced 2018 inspired by the poetry of poet W S Graham, who was born in Greenock 100 years ago. The works have been produced as a result of workshops staged by local artists Alec Galloway, Kate McAllen and Martyn McKenzie and will feature stained glass, watercolour painting and mixed media creations.
